Join us for Veterans Awareness Week from Veterans Day on November 11 through November 16. During the week, we will honor our community members and loved ones who have served and sacrificed to protect our freedom. Whether you listen to veterans’ stories, donate or show your support at one of the following events, we hope you’ll participate to acknowledge our nation’s heroes.
Tell us who you’re honoring during Veterans Awareness Week by filling out the ‘I Honor’ cards in the café and sharing them on the whiteboard.
Boot Camp for Our Heroes
Show your support for the military by wearing a shirt that represents the military branch of your choice at Boot Camp. Guest heroes will be in attendance.
Escape Room Challenge
Gather a team to enter our military-themed escape room. Each team will have 30 minutes to uncover clues, decode puzzles and escape before time runs out!
Military Awareness: Understanding Our Vets and What They Bring to USLI
Join us at 11:30 a.m. in Genshai to hear the perspectives of USLI’s veterans. You’ll learn the importance of recruiting, hiring and retaining veterans in our community! Mike Waldron, executive director of 23rd Veteran, will attend the class as a guest speaker.

Join the USLI Ruck March team at Cobbs Creek Golf Course to raise money for the 23V Recon veteran training program, a reconditioning program for veterans who are struggling with trauma. A ruck march is a traditional military exercise of carrying a weighted backpack over distance. Event participants will carry weight in a backpack for up to 10 miles to represent the weight many service members carry in the battle against combat stress.

In honor of National Diversity Day and in recognition of our community theme Art of Awareness 2.0, we invite you to participate in a celebration of the differences, beliefs and perspectives within our community.
Community members are encouraged to bring in items that represent their uniqueness and individuality. These items may include food, art, music, dance, instruments, clothing, artifacts, photos and currency or can be as simple as a storyboard about your background. All items will be on display in the café in the morning and at lunch on October 4.

As you all may know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Throughout the month, we will be having a number events to support this cause. So, please be on the lookout for these events and GET INVOLVED!
Fall is almost here! That means it's time to clean out your wardrobe and belongings in preparation for the colder months. From household items to the latest clothing items, you can help us donate it all to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Philadelphia.

Green Drop will be on-site to collect usable men's, women's and children's clothing. They will also be accepting shoes, small household goods such as bath and bed linens, pots and pans, dishes, cooking utensils, toys, books and small appliances in good working condition.

Gather a group of three or four community members from various teams and participate in the Teamwork Plus “Minute to Win It” challenge! The challenge involves mini-games inspired by the popular NBC game show. Each member of the winning team will receive $250. Please note that teams cannot include more than two people from the same department.

Join College Help in our third annual fight against the growing epidemic of food insecurity on college campuses, by bringing in nonperishable foods and toiletry items during the week of July 15th – 19th. We will be collecting toiletries, microwavable and non-perishable foods throughout the week and donating them to local college pantries. Donations will benefit the following food pantries: Arcadia University, Montgomery County Community College and Chestnut Hill College.

The Student Ambassador's Annual Branch Office Meet & Greet is session that will allow for the students here, in the Wayne office and the students within other USLI locations to connect and officially meet one another. We will be playing ice breakers and trivia games while getting to know our fellow College Help students. By doing this, we hope that the Branch Office students will feel as involved as we do!
